A multivitamin is like a nutritional cocktail. Usually, it has a bunch of essential vitamins and minerals. Think vitamins A, C, D, E, K, and B-complex, along with minerals like zinc, magnesium, selenium, and iron (sometimes).
The formula and exact amounts of things varies a lot between brands, and honestly, some of them are more marketing than science (cough: a lot of gummy vitamins or supplements with weak forms of certain nutrients).
